Detailed Procedure

  1. Mashed grains at 138°F for 30 minutes
  2. Decocted 40% of thick mash with saccrification rest and 20 minute boil. Returned to mash
  3. Pulled second decoction, thin mash, with saccrification rest and 10 minute boil.
  4. Sparge 45 minutes with 170°F water to make 6½ gallons for the boil
